Land of The Osage

This piece was commissioned by the Osage Quapaw Indian Tribe and is currently displayed in the Saracen Casino located in Pine Bluff, AR.

I worked alongside hall of fame artist Henri Linton to create this project over the course of 9 months.

This piece depicts a panoramic view of the Arkansas River broken up into multiple views. Throughout the picture are you will find many symbols and motifs such as the Indian potter (along the top and bottom border), spirals (located on the outer edges and front), and many African Symbols ( on the left and right end of the boarders) that acts strong cultural heritage.

The inspirations behind this piece was the artists Jeff Donaldsonand Henri Linton

All of these pieces are 18”x 20” and are acrylic on milk carton paper. Displayed at the Convention Center of Pine Bluff, Arkansas on November 28, 2018 for the Arkansas Delta Rhythm and Bayou Blues Show. This show was done in tribute to the gramming winning blues singer Bobby Rush where he was inducted into the blues hall of fame, awarded the keys to the city and a street named After him. 

The show features artists from all over to showcase their renderings of the known and I know musicians and civil rights leaders from the or who worked with the delta region in the past.
